Here is a healthy treat to enjoy on Valentine's day or any other day of the year!
Well who doesn't like chocolate ice cream especially when it is super healthy and so easy to make.
This recipe requires only 5 ingredients and is all vegan, gluten free and mostly raw.
you just need to have some bananas chunks in your freezer and you can have this delicious treat in must 5 minutes!
The other day, we had guests over dinner and they all started craving ice cream around 9 pm! and while one of them volunteered to drive at least 20 miles away to go get some ice cream , and by the time he made himself ready to go get some, my delicious ice cream was ready and everybody was so pleased they have started begging for the recipe lol
So I am sharing the recipe today as my Valentine gift to you.
servings: 6 hearts
preparation time: 5 mins
5 frozen bananas
1/2 cup raw cacao powder
3 medjool dates
1/4 cup full fat coconut milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
love garnish: freeze dried raspberries
Using a high speed blender, blend pitted dates and coconut milk until smooth.
add the raw cacao & blend again until smooth.
Add the banana chunks little by little through the blender opening while keeping the blender on.
Around the 3rd banana, you will have to use the temper to push down the ingredients.
Do not over blend.
Result: smooth silky soft serve choc ice cream.
If you desire you can add them to silicone heart molds (see pic above) like I did, sprinkle some freeze dried raspberries and freeze them for a firmer texture.
